ICORVI Christian Dispute Resolution Ministries is a Bible-based ministry that espouses and adheres to the traditional tenants of evangelical Christianity. To clarify this, we have provided you with our Doctrinal Statement. We have also included a link to I Corinthians 6:1-7, because is the siren with which the Spirit initially touched our souls regarding Christian Dispute Resolution and the possibility of being wronged instead of being right. I Corinthians 6:1-7

Doctrinal Statement:

There is one, true God, Yahweh, and He is to be glorified above all (Deuteronomy 6:4, 5; Romans 11:36; Ephesians 4:5, 6);
That God exists eternally in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy, Spirit—who are identical in substance, but distinct in subsistence (Genesis 1:1, 2; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14);
That the Bible is God’s inerrant revelation, perfect and complete in its original form, accurate in its transmission to us (John 7:17; II Peter 1:19-21; Revelation 22:18, 19);
That the Bible’s knowledge is sufficient for salvation and sanctification (John 14:4; II Timothy 3:16, 17);
That God created the heavens, the earth, and the rules that govern them (Genesis 1:1);
That God is active in and supreme over His creation, man’s history, and man’s destiny (Job 12:10; Psalms 22:28; Matthew 10:28, 29; Romans 8:28);
That God created man in His own image, which makes man special in creation (Genesis 1:27; Psalms 8:5-8);
That, through Adam, man rejected God’s laws and is no longer in fellowship with Him (Romans 5:12);
That man continues to live in sin (Romans 3:10-18, 23; James 1:13-15);
That the penalty for sin is death and eternal separation from God (Matthew 25:41, 46; Romans 6:23);
That nature, too, is fallen (Genesis 3:17-19; Romans 8:22);
That man cannot get right with God by himself (Romans 3:10-18, 4:5, Ephesians 2:1-3, 12);
That God still loves man and sent Jesus Christ in the form of a man to redeem man (John 3:16; Philippians 2:5-8; Titus 3:5);
That Jesus was born of a virgin, by the power of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:27, 34, 35);
That Jesus is fully God and fully man (John 1:1, 2, 14, 8:40, 13:3; Hebrews 1:3-13, 4:15);
That Jesus lived a sinless life (II Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15);
That Jesus physically died, rose, and ascended into heaven (Matthew 27:33-28:10; Mark 15:22-16:14; Luke 23:33-24:53; John 19:16-20:29; Acts 1:3, 9-11; I Corinthians 15:3-8);
That Jesus is the only way to salvation; (John 3:16, 14:6; Acts 4:12)
That, before the foundation of the world, God elected those who are saved, to be saved; (Ephesians 1:3-11)
That God gives salvation graciously and freely to those who believe in Jesus Christ and receive His salvation (John 1:12, 13; Ephesians 2:4, 5, 8, 9);
That, at salvation, the saved are given the Holy Spirit, who ministers to and empowers them, to fulfill God’s purposes; (John 14:15-17, 26; Romans 8:2, 4, 9, 26; Ephesians 1:13, 14)
That the primary purposes of our salvation are to fellowship with God and man, do good (especially to believers), and spread the Gospel (Matthew 28:19; John 13:34; I Corinthians 7:19b; Galatians 6:9-10; Ephesians 2:10; Titus 2:11-14);
That Jesus is returning soon, to claim those who have received Him and to judge the world (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43; John 14:3; Revelation 22:7, 12-20);
And that God will reign eternally (I Corinthians 15:28).
